IIT Roorkee ranked 3rd among all Indian institutes in THE Emerging Economies University Rankings 2019

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 16: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has been ranked at 3rd position in India and it has moved from 56th to 35th position globally in the 2019 Times Higher Education Emerging Economies University Rankings.

Since its establishment, the institute has played a vital role in providing technical manpower which enabled it to reach to 2nd position in generating industry income.

Expressing his gratitude Prof. Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi, Director, IIT Roorkee said “It is a matter of pride and happiness that our overall rank has improved globally as well as nationally. I am happy that Architecture and Planning and Management Studies departments have been ranked at 1st position. We will continue to work with dedication for further improvement.”
