IIT Roorkee starts Ph.D application process under Prime Minister's Research Fellowship
NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has started the admission procedure for Ph.D admissions under Prime Minister's Research Fellowship (PMRF). The application process has commenced from June 5 (8 AM) and will be open till June 14 (5 PM), 2020. The admissions will be through a direct entry channel for twenty academic departments, one academic centre and two centres of excellence at IIT Roorkee. The objective of the PMRF programme is to attract the best talent into research thereby realizing the vision of development through innovation.
The aspirants will be able to check the eligibility criteria at the official website. To apply for the admissions, the eligible candidates will have to email the application form along with relevant academic certificates and a statement of purpose (SOP) to email@example.com. No application fee has to be paid.
The selected candidate will be awarded fellowship of Rs.70,000-80,000 per month, along with a research grant of Rs.2 Lakhs per year (total of Rs.10 Lakhs for five years) for pursuing PhD at IIT Roorkee. For more details, the candidates can visit the official website of IIT Roorkee.
