IMI Kolkata launches postgraduate certificate programme in family business management
The postgraduate certificate in family business management programme will be delivered through a blended learning mode.
NEW DELHI: International Management Institute (IMI) Kolkata has launched a new postgraduate certificate in family business management programme (PGCFBM). The programme will be of 11 months duration and will include six modules, as per the IMI press release.
The programme will enable students to attend the programme while managing their businesses simultaneously.
PG certificate in Family Business Management programme will be delivered through a blended learning mode involving both physical and virtual classrooms.
“Participants of the programme will get mentored by the senior business leaders of RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, a leading business conglomerate in India,” according to the programme director, Swapnarag Swain.
Participants have the option to avail international immersion (2 weeks) with the University of Paris, France. This includes a visit to the University of Paris and lectures by faculty members.
Students will also get to learn the four mandatory functional immersions in marketing, finance, HR and operations through a project-based learning approach.
“India is a strong emerging economy, where a majority of the businesses are family-owned and more than 70% of such businesses are in 2nd or 3rd generations of leadership,” the IMI notice added.
IMI-Kolkata invited family business owners and their successors to apply for the programme.
