As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, CBSE, in a circular, has appealed schools to organise events during Independence Day celebrations from August 13 to 15.

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) issued a notice appealing schools to take part in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga campaign’ being held from August 13 to 15 as part of India’s 78th Independence Day celebrations. As per the CBSE circular, students are encouraged to hoist the national flag at their homes and post selfies along with the tricolour on the official website www.harghartiranga.com.
The campaign was “started by the Govt. of India in the year 2022, under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, to encourage the people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark India’s independence,” the CBSE circular stated.
As per the CBSE notice, schools can participate by:
Hoisting the national flag in school premises during the campaign
Encouraging students and their families to hoist the Indian National Flag in their homes and upload their selfies with the Tiranga on the website harghartiranga.com during the campaign. While displaying the National Flag, the Flag Code of India 2022 may be strictly adhered to. The Flag Code of India 2022 is available at harghartiranga.com.
Organising activities such as poster-making competitions, quiz competitions, essay writing competitions etc. and also organising cultural events during the campaign.
This apart, the notice has requested students to share photos of the programmes held at the school premises. “A brief report of activities and few photographs may be uploaded by the schools before 17.08.2024 at https://forms.gle/zU6xXc5H8hY4R5FNA,” the CBSE circular stated.
