'India should make products for the world': Arun Firodia at DY Patil University foundation day
Arun Firodia also announced that the DY Patil International University will launch a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in economics and Bachelor of Arts (BA) in linguistics programmes in the “forthcoming” academic session.

NEW DELHI: The DY Patil International University celebrated its seventh foundation day where Arun Firodia, chairman of Kinetic Group said that India should make products for the world. “The world should be our marketplace and we should make products but India’s need has to be thoroughly satisfied first,” he said.
Calling India as the land of opportunities, Firodia said that the country gives a scope which may not be found anywhere in the world. “I see a great future for India,” he added.
Sharing his experience at the ceremony, Firodia said, “I knew about India in IIT Bombay where I interacted with people from all over India.”
The industrialist also launched a book “100 Great IITians: Dedicated to the service of the nation” that celebrates the achievements of 100 great IITians, who refused to work in western countries and contributed to India's growth.

New courses, infrastructure soon at DY Patil International University
He also announced that the DY Patil International University will launch a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in economics and Bachelor of Arts (BA) in linguistics programmes in the “forthcoming” academic session. A Centre for generative AI, and a 33 floor hostel will also be operational very soon, Firodia announced.
Prabhat Ranjan, an alumnus of IIT and founder vice chancellor of DYPIU, said: “Now DYPIU is recognised as a trendsetter in the higher education circle.” He added further that here we give emphasis on digital and future.
DYP Pratisthan Trustee Tejas S Patil; Vinod Pasricha, Lt Admiral (Retired); Shokin Chauhan, Lt General (Retired); Achyut Godbole, Arvind Gupta, and Anand Deshpande, also participated in the event.
