The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has started the registration for the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET) for admission to Post graduate programmes for the January 2027 session. Candidates can apply for the INI CET through the official website at aiimsexams.ac.in.
The INI CET January 2027 application window will be open until October 13 and candidates will be able to check the status of their registration process between October 17 and 19, 2026.
The computer-based INI CET January 2027 exam will be held on November 1 for admission to MD, MS, 6-year DM and MCh courses, along with MDS and MD in hospital administration.

As per the eligibility criteria, candidates with an MBBS degree from an National Medical Commission (NMC)-recognised college, along with a complete one-year rotatory internship certificate can apply.
General, Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category candidates should have a minimum 55% marks in MBBS to be eligible for INI CET exam.
Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category candidates should have at least 50% marks to be eligible for the medical college entrance test.
The INI CET January 2027 examination registration fee for general, OBC, foreign nationals, OCI applicants, is Rs 4,000, while SC, ST, and EWS candidates should have to pay Rs 3,200 as application charges.
Notably, differently abled applicants are exempt from the INI CET registration fee.
All AIIMS, including the New Delhi branch, JIPMER-Puducherry, NIMHANS-Bengaluru, PGIMER-Chandigarh, and SCTIMST- Trivandrum will participate in the INI CET January 2027 counselling.
The INI CET January 2027 exam will be held for three hours and will contain a total of 200 objective type questions. As per the marking scheme, candidates will be given one mark will correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for each wrong response. No marks for unanswered questions.
