A day after a NEET PG 2026 examination was cancelled at a centre in Jaipur due to power failure, a AIIMS CRE-5 re-exam in Jaipur’s Sitapura district was delayed for 30 minutes due to server failure, India Today reported.
According to the report, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Common Recruitment Examination (AIIMS CRE-5) exam was scheduled from 9 am to 12 noon. However, due to the server disruption, the paper began at 9:30 am, it reads.
Notably, the AIIMS CRE-5 re-examination was hit by server failure two times. First before the start of the exam, which caused a 30-minute delay, then for around 20 minutes once the exam began, the report added.
Candidates are demanding the cancellation of the AIIMS CRE-5 exam over the continuous technical issues, as mentioned in the report.
The AIIMS CRE-5 was held to fill 1,484 group B and C non-faculty positions across multiple AIIMS institutes and participating central government organizations.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has formed a 3-member committee to prove the internal power supply disruption during the NET PG 2026 at two iON Digital Zone centres in Sitapura, Jaipur.
There was a power supply issue at the NEET PG 2026 exam centre, due to which the examination could not be completed.
More than 2.65 lakh candidates appeared for the NEET PG 2026 examination across the country for admission to MD, MS, and other post MBBS programmes.
The committee, formed by the NBEMS, will examine the sequence of events leading to the power failure and find out the reasons for the disruption.
In addition, the board announced a NEET PG 2026 re-examination for around 2,445 candidates of the Jaipur exam centre. The re-exam will be held on September 5 at 3 pm in Jaipur.
