Innovate and explore says P.K. Khosla, Vice Chancellor, Shoolini University

NEW DELHI: A three day E-seminar ‘EduWeb 2020’ was organised by the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Shoolini University on the topic ‘Era of Interdisciplinary Sciences: Vitalise Future Research”. As many as 672 students, faculty members and those not a part of Shoolini University also participated in the E-seminar.

University organised seminar was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of Shoolini University, Professor P.K. Khosla. In his addressing speech, he encouraged all the participants to grab the opportunity ‘to innovate beyond the usual trends and explore the power of the mind.’

Eminent scientists and academicians from Sri Lanka, USA and India were the part of E-seminar panelists. Chandima Wijayasiriwardena, Research Scientist, Herbal Technology from Cylon Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research (CISIR), Sri Lanka gave prominence to the role of Ayurvedic principles for immunity and to combat with COVID-19. Maiko Uemura from University of Pennsylvania, USA, unveiled her research which includes modern tools of evaluation in neuropharmacology for Dementia.

Harsh Chauhan, Creighton University, Omaha, USA, shared his basic concepts of solubility and took all to its modern evaluation process. While from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Patna, Ashutosh Kumar shared his clinical study of COVID patients and concluded that the virus resides in GIT, lungs, and brain too. Alic from Karuna Medical College, Coimbatore gave a clinical perspective of drug development with case studies on medicines.

Amal Kumar, Drug Controller, Government of India; Dr Hardik, Vasu Research Centre, Vadodara; Sujal, IAS, Collector and Magistrate and Bharat Bhushan, Abbott Healthcare, talked about the opportunity for youth to develop and use of drugs with the practice of herbal and ancient technology and directed youth to follow their dreams.

The farewell session was chaired by the Chief guest Vishal Anand, President, and founder of Shoolini University, who shared a view of evolutionary changes in pre and post COVID time.
