iPATE 2020 registrations open for engineers till April 15; check details here

NEW DELHI: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has introduced a new technical recruitment process and protocol for Indian Industry named Industrial Proficiency Aptitude Test for Engineers (iPATE). Through this, engineers will be recruited by Indian Industries on the basis of their scores in iPATE exam. The authorities have already started the iPATE registrations 2020 from January 1 and all the interested & eligible candidates can apply till April 15 through the official website. In order to apply for the exam, candidates will have to complete a single iPATE registration form along with uploading scanned images of their photograph and signature. The application fee for iPATE 2020 registration is Rs 1500 for all candidates.
Before applying for CII iPATE, candidates must check the eligibility criteria for the exam/recruitment process. To be eligible for iPATE, a candidate must have passed B.E/B.Tech after 10+2 examination. Along with this, candidates with a 3 years course after B.Sc./Diploma in Engineering/Technology, B.Arch degree and Postgraduate (PG) Engineers, PG Engineering Students are also eligible to apply. Those in the final year of their B.E/B.Tech course can also apply. There is no age limit to appear for the exam.
iPATE will be a computer-based examination of 3 hours with three sections-Cognitive Abilities, Professional Abilities and Technical Abilities. There will be a total of 100 Multiple Choice or True/ False or Matching or Numerical type questions of 100 marks in the exam. Also, there will be a negative marking of ½ marks for incorrect answers.
iPATE 2020 is scheduled to be conducted on July 4, 5, 11 and 12, 2020 and the admit cards for the exam will be available on June 15. After the exam, the authorities will release the result for the exam in the form of scorecards. Those who will qualify the exam will be given iPATE certification on the basis of which candidates will be recruited by various Indian Industries.
