ISC Class 12 board exam 2026 begins on February 12 for 1.5 lakh students; Psychology first paper

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) will begin the Indian School Certificate (ISC) Class 12 board exams 2026 from tomorrow, February 12, with Psychology scheduled on the first day. Around 1.5 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the ISC 12th board exam 2026.

According to the ISC Class 12th date sheet 2026 , the CISCE Board will conduct the exams from February 12 to April 6. The board has scheduled exams for 50 subjects at the Class 12, while the ICSE Class 10 covers 75 subjects.

The ISC theory exam will begin at 2 pm and continue for three hours. Students will be given 15 minutes to read the question paper before the exam. The board has instructed students to reach the exam hall at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.

Revised syllabus 2026 for ISC 12th Psychology

For the first exam, Psychology, the subject consists of a theory paper carrying 70 marks and project work of 30 marks. The following topics will be covered under the ISC Psychology revised syllabus 2026.

• Intelligence and Ability
• Personality
• Lifespan Development
• Stress and Stress Management
• Psychological Disorders and Psychotherapy
• Social Thought and Social Behaviour
• Attitudes
• Psychology in relation to the Environment and Social concerns.

The board earlier said that the time table has been prepared to ensure a balanced academic calendar, allowing reasonable preparation time between two major subjects wherever possible. After the psychology paper, the CSICE will conduct ISC Class 12 English paper 1 on February 13.

It is mandatory to carry the ISC admit card 2026 to the exam hall to be allowed entry.
