Israel-Iran War: 110 Indian students, including 90 from Kashmir set to arrive from Armenia at 10:15 pm

Around 110 Indian students stranded amid the Iran-Israel war, which escalated on the sixth day, will return home tonight, the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) announced through its official X account in a series of posts.

The Indian nationals, including 90 Kashmiri students, reached Yeruvan, capital of Armenia through the Iran border yesterday due to the increasing military tensions between Iran and Iraq.

“All flight tickets have been arranged free of cost by the Govt of India, including Delhi to Srinagar for Kashmiri students. We deeply appreciate this effort to ensure a smooth, full journey home,” the JKSA wrote on X.

Middle East Turmoil: Stranded Indian to return home on Indigo flights

In the latest string of news, Israel has advanced its attack on the nuclear facility of Iran after the latter shot down Israel’s fighter jets and drones, the AlJazeera reported.

Two Indigo airline flights have been scheduled for the stranded students to return to India. Indigo flight number 6E 9483 and 9487 will depart from Doha at 8:45 pm tonight, and are expected to reach at Indira Gandhi International Airport around 10:15 pm, according to the post on X.

Yesterday, the Embassy of India in Iran issued an advisory for the Indian nationals residing in the middle eastern country to relocate to a safer place amid the ongoing military tension between the two countries.

The embassy has also established a 24x7 control room to help the Indian citizens in Iran after Israel and Iran exchange heavy fire to trigger a war-like situation.
