Download EBookNEW DELHI : Jharkhand government has decided to conduct Class 10 and 12 exams of the state board from March 9 to 26, 2021, as reported by the Hindustan Times. Jharkhand Academic Council will conduct JAC 10th and 12th exams in offline mode as per COVID-19 protocols.
This decision was taken at a high-level meeting held on Monday. The detailed date sheet of JAC Classes 10 and 12 exams will be released online on jac.jharkhand.gov.in. The time table for subject-wise exams will be out in a day or two. The exams for Classes 8, 9 and 11 will be held in April.
As per the report, JAC chairman Arvind Prasad Singh said, “The board examinations will be held in two shifts. The examination of matriculation will be taken in the first shift, while the intermediate examination in the second shift.”
How many students appear?
Around 7 lakh students appear for Jharkhand board Class 10 and 12 exams every year. In 2020, more than 3.87 lakh students took part in matric exams, while over 2.34 lakh students sat for intermediate examinations.
This year, the board has decided to revise the exam pattern. More objective type questions will be asked in the paper as compared to last year papers. JAC Chairman said, “There would be 30% to 40% objective type questions in a paper depending upon the subjects.”
