NEW DELHI: Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi, has invited applications for the Chief Minister Merit Scholarship Scheme (CMMSS). Eligible students who qualified in the 2022, 2023, and 2024 scholarship examinations can submit their CM merit scholarship 2025 applications through the prescribed format available on the JAC website, jac.jharkhand.gov.in.
The registration portal for the Chief Minister Merit Scholarship 2025 will be open tomorrow, March 11. Students will have to submit the CM merit scholarship 2025 application form to the school authorities by April 11, 2025. Schools will then have to forward the verified applications to the district education officer (DEO) by April 15, 2025, and the DEO will submit the consolidated list to JAC by April 21, 2025.
Students will have to provide details such as the exam date, roll number, personal details, caste, and school details, including its name, address, UDISE code, bank details, including the bank name, branch, account number, and IFSC code in their CM merit scholarship 2025 application form. They must also mention whether their school provides government-sponsored accommodation and meals.

As per the official notice, students will have to secure at least 60% marks in their final examinations to continue receiving the scholarship. Students of residential schools, where accommodation and meals are provided by the government, will receive only 50% of the scholarship amount.
A separate consolidated report of students selected under the Aakanksha scheme must be prepared and submitted to the council office. The scholarship amount will be credited to the previously registered bank account, and requests for bank account changes will not be entertained. “The upcoming scholarship amount will be disbursed to the previously provided bank account only, and no changes will be accepted,” the official notice said.
