New Delhi, July 12: IIT Kanpur will release the application form of Joint Admission Test (JAM) 2020 on September 5, 2019. Interested candidates can fill the application form in online mode till October 8, 2019. This information has been released via a short notification released by IIT Kanpur. Apart from the application dates, the exam authority has also announced dates for the exam and result.

According to IIT Kanpur officials, JAM 2020 will be held in online mode on February 9, 2020, whereas the result for the test will be declared on March 20. The first session of the exam will be held from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, while the second session of exam would be conducted from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm

The test pattern of JAM 2020 reflects that a candidate aspiring for the exam can opt for either one test paper or two papers. Whosoever opts for two papers have to pay some additional fee for the second paper. The exam will be held across multiple exam centres in 65 cities. The test – JAM 2010 will have three pattern of questions – multiple choice questions (MCQs), multiple selection questions (MSQs), and numerical answer type (NAT) questions.

Admission to MSc. programmes at IITs will be offered to the candidates based on the merit list of JAM 2020.

JAM is held in online mode by one of the conducting IITs for admission to MSc. programmes, joint MSc.-Ph.D., MSc.-Ph.D. dual degree, MSc.-M.S. (Research/Ph.D) dual degree and other post-bachelor programmes offered by the participating IITs and ISM, Dhanbad. Other institutes like IISC Bangalore, IIEST Shibpur, NITs, IISERs, and SLIET Punjab also offer admission to candidates based on JAM score.
