JAM 2020 application correction begins; rectify details before Oct 28

Download NowNew Delhi, October 18, 2019: IIT Kanpur, the exam conducting authority for JAM 2020 has opened the application correction facility for IIT JAM 2020. Thus, candidates who have entered some incorrect details while filling the application form can now make corrections in those details. However, it must be noted that rectification or corrections are allowed in only a few particulars and not in all details entered by the candidates in the application form. All corrections must be made before October 28, which is the deadline for application rectification. Also, the correction is available only for the candidates who have filed in their application form and paid the fee before the last date.

According to the details released by the IIT Kanpur officials, for some changes, candidates have to pay an additional fee. Details which can be changed include category, PwD status, gender/category, and change of city, examination city/town (only in exceptional circumstances). The fee for changing the examination city or centre is ₹ 500/- .
Earlier, the application form of JAM 2020 was closed on October 8, however, the authorities had given an extra day by making the application deadline October 9 (till 5.30 pm) for the candidates who could not register till October 8. However, the last date for the JAM application fee payment for the registered candidates was October 13.
Further, the admit card for JAM 2020 will be released online on January 7 for the candidates whose applications have been accepted by the exam conducting authority. Candidates must download the admit card of JAM 2020 and take at least 2 copies of it. This hall ticket needs to be taken with them to the examination centre on the exam day, as no entry will be permitted without possessing the JAM admit card.
JAM 2020 will be held on February 9, in online mode by IIT Kanpur for admission to M.Sc. (Two Years), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, and other Post-UG Degrees Programmes at 20 IITs and Integrated PhD Degree Programmes at the IISc. Apart from this, admission to Post Graduate and above post graduate programmes across 22 NITs & CFTIs also take place on the basis of scores of the candidates in JAM. A total of 2445 seats are offered in the IIT participating institutes and IISC for various programmes through JAM.
