JAM 2021 concludes; coaching institutes to release answer key soon

The second session of the IISc. Bangalore-held IIT JAM 2021 has just closed. The answer key will be released by the authorities shortly.
NEW DELHI:
IIT Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) conducted today on February 14 has concluded. The answer key for the test along with question papers will soon be available from several prominent coaching institutes in the country.
The IIT JAM is a computer-based test (or CBT), and was conducted online in two sessions, each one lasting three hours. While the first session was held between 9.30 AM and 12: 30 PM, the second session took place between 3: 00 PM and 6: 00 PM. Held under the auspices of Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, there were a total of seven subjects/disciplines this year, economics being the latest edition. The rest of the subjects were: biotechnology, chemistry, geology, mathematics , mathematical statistics and physics.
The IIT JAM answer key will be released soon. It will help students who wrote the test to compute for themselves the score they secured in the exam, and accordingly plan their next step. Upon the release of the provisional JAM answer key, candidates will be able to file an objection with the appropriate authorities in case they feel an answer or more has been inaccurately marked. Of course, the challenge will have to be filed within a stipulated time to be entertained. There is a Rs. 500 fee to file the objection.
Just to recap, Joint Admission Test for Masters — or JAM — is an all-India examination conducted jointly by Indian Institutes of Technology and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Through JAM admission is awarded courses like M.Sc., Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree and other postgraduate degrees at the IITs and to the Integrated Ph.D. programmes at IISc, Bangalore.
