NEW DELHI: Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI) vice chancellor, Najma Akhtar, launched the ninth issue of the Academy of Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers' (APDUMT) journal, Tadris Nama. The journal aims to provide support and resources to Urdu-medium teachers.
Akhtar praised the academy for its efforts in producing a comprehensive journal. Toward that effort, the academy recently signed an agreement with State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT ) Delhi, and Akhtar suggested seeking agreements with SCERTs in other states. The translation of academic books into Urdu was emphasised, as it would assist teachers in delivering subjects effectively, according to the JMI.
Shahzad Anjum, professor and director of the academy, highlighted its objectives, which include enhancing teaching skills and providing teaching materials. "Tadris Nama" plays a crucial role in achieving these goals.
