1. Students from rural areas- 75%
2. SC/ST - from National policy (15% for SC & 7.5% for ST) to a maximum of 50% for both.
3. OBC - 27%
4. One-third of the seats are reserved for girls.
5. A provision for reservation for Divyang children (i.e., Orthopedically Handicapped, Hearing Impaired, and Visually Handicapped) as per GOI norms.

The authority conducted the Navodaya Class 6 examination 2026 for phase 1 on December 13, 2025, while phase 2 will be held on April 11, 2026.
