NEW DELHI, MAY 27: Indian Insitute of Technology, Roorkee has started JEE Advanced 2019 Paper 2 at 2 pm. JEE Advanced 2019 is being conducted completely in online mode through computer based test mode. JEE Advanced 2019 Paper 1 was earlier conducted from 9 AM to 12 PM. Candidates were given a lunch break of 45 minutes before Paper 2 of the entrance examination commenced at 2 PM. The entry gates for Paper 2 were opened at 1 PM and the gates were closed at 2 PM. Both the papers of JEE Advanced 2019 are compulsory for students. JEE Advanced 2019 Paper 2 will have total 3 sections which have to be attempted in total 3 hours.

Highlights of JEE Advanced 2019
Question asked in the entrance test will be multiple choice (objective) and numerical.
Some questions may have more than one correct answer, in such cases the candidates are required to get all the options right to secure full marks.
There may be negative marking for some questions. Candidates are required to read detailed instructions about the marking scheme mentioned in the question paper.
The exam will be available in English and Hindi languagesbut the candidates can only choose one language to attempt the exam.
Total marks of JEE Advanced 2019 is not a constant – An interesting slant of JEE Advanced that has been noticed in the past couple of years is that though the total number of questions remain the same (54 questions for each paper), the total marks can fluctuate. In year 2018, the total marks were 180 for each paper, whereas it was 183 and 186 in 2017 and 2016 respectively.
JEE Advanced 2019 paper 2 has commenced and the exam will be concluded at 5 PM. JEE Advanced 2019 result will be announced on June 14.
