NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi has issued some COVID-19 guidelines to be implemented at JEE Advanced exam centres on the exam day. IIT Delhi is going to conduct JEE Advanced 2020 on September 27 across various exam centres. Candidates will be required to follow social distancing guidelines and maintain hygiene for self and fellow candidates.

Preparation at exam centres against COVID-19:

  • Before commencement of examination for each shift, the seating area and computer systems will be thoroughly sanitized.

  • Disinfection process will be done at all possible surfaces to be touched by candidates, however, the authorities strived for a touch free process thoroughly.

  • Alternate seats will be vacant (minimum 6 feet distance) in order to ensure social distancing among candidates.

  • Hand sanitizers will be provided at various locations in the exam centre premises.

  • Candidates are supposed to arrive at the examination centre as per entry time communicated to them a day before the exam via SMS to avoid crowding.

  • Candidates are advised to fill all the details in COVID-19 self declaration form in JEE Advanced 2020 admit card carefully.

  • At the exam centre entry, the authorities shall check the self declaration and body temperature using thermo guns and then candidates will be required to sanitize their hand and wash with soap.

  • Lab/Hall/Room number will not be displayed outside the Test Centre. At the entry, barcodes present in JEE Advanced admit card will be scanned to tell students the details of their seating arrangement.

  • The authorities have allowed candidates to carry a bottle of hand sanitizer and a transparent water bottle along, however, own face mask has to be worn at all times in the exam centre

  • Candidates will be provided with scribble pads at their desk for rough work and no additional ones will be provided. At the end, candidates will have to sign the same after entering the name and registration number.

  • The invigilator will collect JEE Advanced 2020 admit card as the paper 2 starts. Action shall be taken against candidates who fail to submit the admit card.

  • After the JEE Advanced exam gets over, candidates will be required to leave the exam hall in an orderly manner as per the invigilator’s instructions.

It may be noted that candidates will not be denied to appear in JEE Advanced 2020 exam unless they violate the COVID-19 directives/ advisories issued by Government.
