JEE Advanced 2024: IIT Roorkee cut-offs for BTech programmes sank last year; closing ranks

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will offer admission to its BTech programmes through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2024. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the exam on May 26.
IIT Roorkee was the fifth top engineering college in India as per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings last year. The highest JEE Advanced cut-off at which the institute closed admission last year was 412 for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. In the last three years, IIT Roorkee witnessed a drop in the BTech cut-offs for almost all programmes in comparison to the year after pandemic. However, the newly introduced data science and engineering course as well as the computer science and engineering (CSE) and electronics and communication engineering (ECE) courses saw a slight jump.
The BTech counselling 2024 will be conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Upon declaration of the JEE Advanced result 2024, the IIT will release gender-wise and category-wise cut-offs for BTech programmes.
