In the latest news, the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has invited applications for JEE Main 2025 from north-eastern students and announced special initiatives to encourage more participation from the region. The board has announced to hold CSAB-NEUT special counselling to give an additional chance for north-eastern students to gain admission to NIT+ institutions.
The CSAB board said that there are approximately 2,000 seats under the state quota for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Out of the total BTech seats in NITs, 50% of the seats are reserved for other states allowing students from north-east to secure admissions in different states as well.
In this regard, engineering aspirants who are seeking admission at IIT Guwahati can check the JEE Advanced cut-off trends of the last three years. Candidates should obtain a higher rank than the closing ranks given below for their preferred course.
