JEE Main 2019 Day 1 Exam for Paper-1 concludes: Students give thumbs up to computer based exam

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 9: The first day of JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 examination has concluded. The entrance exam for B.Tech admissions consisted of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics questions. JEE Main 2019 Paper I was conducted in two shifts - Forenoon (9:30 AM to 12:30 Noon) and Afternoon (2:30 PM to 5:30 PM). Around 9,29,198 candidates have registered for Paper I of JEE Main 2019. The first day of the examination was successfully held and saw many students pouring in to attempt the entrance examination.

JEE Main 2019 Paper I consisted of multiple objective questions using the 10+2th standard syllabus. Each section had 30 questions and 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer while 1 mark will be deducted for an incorrect response. The first fully computer-based JEE Main 2019 examination saw a positive response among the students as they raised a big thumbs up for it.

According to the students who appeared for the entrance examination, the paper was of moderate difficulty. Mathematics and Chemistry were comparatively on an easier level. Physics was time-consuming but was not too tough. No technical glitches were faced by the students. 

“The difficulty level of Paper- 1 was moderate. Physics and Chemistry section was a bit tricky. There were no technical problems and I completed the paper on time," said Aman, a JEE Main candidate.
