JEE Main 2019 dress code: What or what not to wear

NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 12- National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting JEE Main 2019 first attempt from January 8 to 12 in computer-based test (CBT) mode. This is the first time when NTA will be conducting national level engineering entrance examination. Therefore, candidates who will be appearing for January attempt must be curious to know about the dress code of JEE Main 2019. Questions like is there any particular dress code to appear for JEE Main, what can we wear and what needs to be avoided etc must be popping up in the minds of the aspirants. Below is the answer to all such questions.
JEE Main 2019 Dress Code- Know What to Wear
- Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2019 can wear full sleeves jackets and shirts.
- They are advised to wear simple trousers or jeans.
- Wear loose and comfortable clothes.
What to Avoid
- Avoid wearing clothes having too many pockets.
- Don’t wear any fancy scarfs, stoles, caps, goggles, wrist watch etc.
- Don’t wear jewellery items like rings, earrings, bangles, bracelets, anklets etc.
Guidelines for JEE Main Exam Day
- Any electronic devices like mobile phone, pager, calculator, log tables, books, notebooks, bits of paper will not be allowed carry inside the examination hall.
- Any type of pen/pencil will not be allowed to carry inside the examination hall.
- No bags will be allowed to carry inside the exam hall.
Guidelines for Diabetic Candidates
- In case candidates have diabetes, they will be allowed to carry eatables like sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/ orange) and transparent water bottle inside the examination hall.
- Packed foods like chocolate/candy/sandwiches will not be allowed to carry inside the exam hall.
Instructions for Candidates Appearing for JEE Main Paper-2
- Candidates who will be appearing for Paper-2 of JEE Main 2019 are advised to bring their own geometry box set, pencils, erasers and colour pencils or crayons for aptitude test.
- They are advised to bring cardboard or a clipboard along with them to the examination hall for the written examination.
The mentioned above are the general guidelines for the JEE Main 2019 dress code. As of now, NTA has not released any specify dress code for JEE Main. With the release of admit card of JEE Main, guidelines and other instruction related to exam day will be announced.
NTA will be releasing admit card of JEE Main 2019 for January attempt on December 17 in online mode.
