JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 Live Updates: JEE Main 2019 Paper 1, April 8 has been concluded. The paper was conducted in forenoon and afternoon shift. JEE Main 2019 answer key by leading institutes is available below. Students can also find below the JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 analysis in order to get an idea about the exam. National Testing Agency has conducted the JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 today in the forenoon and afternoon shift. Both the forenoon and afternoon shift of JEE Main Paper 1 has been conducted. The morning shift started at 09:30 AM till 12:30 PM while the afternoon shift was conducted from 02:30 PM till 05:30 PM. The JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 was conducted on April 7 for which around 1 lakh students have appeared. Many coaching institutes have provided the JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 Answer key for April 8 forenoon and afternoon session

Overall, the paper was easy to moderate as per the students for both morning and evening shift. Compared to the January session, the difficulty level was almost similar. Physics was relatively tougher. The spread of questions was from almost all chapters from class XI & XII. The level of difficult as per feedback from students:

  • Mathematics – Easy to Moderate level. The students reported questions were easy. No question asked from Mathematical Induction.

  • Physics – Tougher compared to Mathematics & Chemistry. But it was of moderate level. Some students felt Class XI had more weightage in the paper.

  • Chemistry – Easy. Some questions were directly from NCERT and were fact based. No tricks involved as such in any question. One question on assertion reasoning was asked.

Afternoon Shift

05:30 PM- Exam for the evening shift has been concluded

04:20 PM- Parents are waiting outside the exam centre

02:30 PM- Exam for the afternoon shift has started

02:15 PM- Gates for the afternoon shift has been closed

02:10 PM- Students are coming hurrying. Gates about to close for the morning shift

02:00 PM- Students are coming to the exam centre

01:30 PM- Guards are telling students that no other belongings other than admit card, photograph and photo ID are allowed inside the exam centre. 

01:15 PM- Guards are instructing candidates to carry only JEE Main 2019 April admit card, one passport size colour photograph and a valid photo ID.

01:05 PM-Entry inside the exam centres for afternoon shift has started at 01:00 PM. Students who will come after 02:15 PM for morning shift will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. 

01:00 PM- Students have started arriving at the exam centre for the afternoon shift.
Forenoon Shift
Questions in Mathematics were mostly from Quadratic Equations, questions from complex numbers were tough.
In Physics 3 questions were asked from Thermodynamics and Mechanics, 2 from Semiconductors and 3 from EMI. 
Most questions were based on NCERT pattern

12:50 PM- As per the students reaction Physics was easy while Mathematics was a bit difficult.
12:45 PM- Students starts arriving at the exam centre for the afternoon session

12:35 PM- Students starts arriving out of the exam centre

12:15 PM- Parents waiting outside the exam centre to receive their children.

12:18 PM- Exam about to end in a few minutes.

09:25 AM- Gate has been finally closed. 

09:30 AM- Exam for the morning shift commences 

09:20 AM- Guards are making the final call to students for entry inside the exam hall

09:15 AM- Guard allows few late comer students to enter inside the exam centre 

09:15 AM- Gate closed for the morning session exam

09:05 AM- Gates will be closed soon. Guards are announcing the candidates to come fast.

09:00 AM- One of the students forgot the admit card

08:45 AM- Students are coming hurrying. Gates about to close for the morning shift

08:30 AM- Students can be seen coming on run towards the exam centre so as to avoid being late. 

08:00 AM- Guards are telling students that no other belongings other than admit card, photograph and photo ID are allowed inside the exam centre. 

07:30 AMEntry inside the exam centres for morning shift has started at 07:30 AM. Students who will come after 09:30 AM for morning shift will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. 

07:30 AM- Gates opened for the morning session

7:15 AM- Guards are telling the instructions and exam day guidelines to candidates. Students are being told to carry only JEE Main 2019 April admit card, one passport size colour photograph and a valid photo ID.

07:00 AM- Students have started arriving at the exam centre early in the morning from far distant places.
