JEE Main 2019 Paper-1 for January 10 to commence soon

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 10: National Testing Agency (NTA) will be commencing the JEE Main Paper-1 for January 10 at 9:30 am today. The examination will be conducted in two shifts- 9:30 am to 12:30 pm (forenoon shift) and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm (afternoon shift).

As per the official notice released by NTA, around 9,29,198 candidates have registered for Paper 1 of JEE Main. The entrance examination is being conducted in 467 centres in 258 cities (09 outside India) as a CBT.  For the forenoon shift, candidates have started reporting to the centres at around 7:30 am.

This is for the first time NTA is conducting JEE Main in Computer-Based-Test (CBT) mode only. JEE Main will Paper-1 is being conducted from January 9 to 12 in two shifts daily.  

On January 9, day-1 of JEE Main Paper- 1 concluded successfully. Candidates gave thumbs up to the CBT mode.  As per the candidate's feedback who appeared for the entrance exam, JEE Main Paper- 1 for January 9 was easier as compared to the last year. Students find Mathematics and Chemistry section easy, however, they find Physics a bit tricky and time-consuming. No technical error was reported by the candidates on day 1 of Paper-1.

The national level engineering entrance examination for Paper-2 was conducted on January 8 in two shifts, partially in CBT and offline mode.  

The Paper-1 of JEE Main is being conducted for the candidates who wish to get admission to B.Tech admissions to the participating engineering institutes.
