JEE Main 2019 Paper I to commence at 9:30 am today

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 9: NTA will be commencing the examination of JEE Main 2019 Paper I from today. The entrance exam will be held in two shifts from January 9 to 12, 2019 - Forenoon (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM) and Afternoon (2:30 PM to 5:30 PM). All candidates who wish for B.Tech admissions in the participating engineering institutes will have to attempt and qualify the examination. Around 9,29,198 candidates have registered for Paper 1 of JEE Main 2019 and the exam will be held in  467 Centres in 258 Cities (09 outside India) as a computer-based test.

Candidates will have to start reporting to their centres at around 7:30 AM since the entry to the venue will commence from then. The final time to enter the examination hall is 9 AM, but due to the cold weather, it may get extended. However, the candidates are advised not to reach late and to make sure that they enter the exam venue before the specified time. The entrance examination will commence exactly on time and will be overlooked by the assigned invigilators.

JEE Main 2019 Paper I is being conducted as a complete computer-based test for the first time by NTA. The examination will consist of objective questions from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The total marks of the entrance examination are 360 and each section will have 30 questions.
