NEW DELHI: National Testing Agency is conducting JEE Main 2020 from September 1 to 6. The authorities have issued important exam instructions and advisory regarding COVID-19 for candidates in the JEE Main admit card 2020. Although NTA has not specified any dress code for JEE Main 2020, there are certain guidelines that must be followed by the candidates while choosing what to wear on the exam day. Candidates appearing in the JEE Main 2020 paper 1 exam must strictly follow all the guidelines specified by the authorities.

JEE Main 2020 Dress Code

NTA has not specified any particular JEE Main dress code 2020 but candidates are advised to take care of the following instructions. Know do’s and don’ts for exam day

  • Candidates should not wear shoes/footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons.

  • Candidates are not allowed to carry any metallic objects inside the JEE Main 2020 exam centre. Therefore, wearing any kind of jewellery or ornaments is strictly prohibited.

  • Students must not cover their heads or faces while appearing in the JEE Main exam.

  • In case students are required to wear kara or kirpan due to religious reasons then they have to report at the exam centre 1.5 hours before the time.

Things to Remember in the wake of Covid 19

Since JEE Main exam 2020 is being conducted amid the coronavirus pandemic, students should remember the following things:

  • Candidates should maintain social distancing all the time. They should avoid standing in large groups and crowding at the exam centre gates.

  • Parents or guardians should prefer not to accompany their children at the JEE Main exam centre.

  • Students should wear masks all the time inside and outside the exam centre. NTA will provide a fresh 2 ply mask to each candidate.

  • Candidates must follow all the instructions mentioned outside the exam centre and as told by the security guards at the JEE Main exam centre.

  • Student’s should reach the exam centre before the reporting time to allow proper checking.
