The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the JEE Main 2024 paper 1 for BE, BTech today from 9 am to 12 noon. Students found the exam to be easy compared to previous year and January 27 paper. Questions covered almost all chapters of CBSE Board Class 11 and 12. Students who appeared in the exam said more weightage was given to Class 12 physics chapters. The JEE Main 2024 paper 1 had both multiple-choice questions and numerical questions with equal weightage to physics, chemistry and mathematics. Students were given three hours to attempt 90 questions carrying 300 marks.
Options in questions were given only in section B. Of the 10 numerical questions, candidates had to attempt 5. As per the marking scheme, four marks will be awarded for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer in both section A and section B.
