Attempt NowNEW DELHI : The National Testing Agency (NTA) has concluded the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 January 30 shift 1 exam. Students found the exam ‘moderate’ in comparison to previous year and January 29 paper. The chemistry and mathematics sections were more tough than physics, as per candidate reactions.

JEE Main 2024 January 30 shift 1 live updates
The shift 1 exam was conducted from 9 am to 12 noon. There were a total of 300 marks including 100 questions each on physics, chemistry and mathematics. Each subject had two sections. Section A consisted of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section B contained numerical questions. In Section B, candidates were asked to attempt any five questions out of 10.

While students found physics easier than chemistry and mathematics, the difficulty level of math was moderate to hard. The mathematics paper was also rated lengthier and calculative. The subject-wise JEE Main 2024 difficulty level is given below:
