JEE Main 2024 January 30 shift 1 exam begins; timings, instructions

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) commenced the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 January 30 shift 1 exam at 9 AM. The exam timings for JEE Main 2024 shift 1 January session are 9 AM to 12 noon. Candidates had to report to the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam.

The reporting time for shift 1 exam was 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM. Applicants who carried the JEE Main admit card, a valid ID proof, a self-declaration form, and a passport-size photo were allowed to enter the JEE Mains exam centre. Candidates were subjected to thorough frisking and their biometric attendance was also taken.

The JEE Mains 2024 exam will have three sections- physics, chemistry and mathematics. Candidates will have to attempt 25 questions from each section. The JEE Main exam is held for a total of 300 marks, 100 for each section. Based on the previous shift’s analysis, JEE Main January 30 shift 1 is expected to be moderately challenging.

Various coaching institutes will release the memory-based JEE Main 2024 January 30 shift 1 questions with solutions and exam analysis online. Candidates will be able to calculate their probable scores in advance using the unofficial question paper with the answer key.

Students must note that the unofficial JEE Mains question paper with solution pdf is not accurate. The final NTA JEE Main 2024 question paper and answer key will be released on the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in 2024 after the JEE Main January session exam conclusion.
