NEW DELHI: The Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main 2024) session 1 results will be declared today for paper 1 and 2A, 2B at jeemain.nta.ac.in and nta.ac.in. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the JEE Main session 1 exams from January 27 to February 1 for BE, BTech paper 1, whereas paper 2 was held in the second shift on January 24. The JEE Main 2024 result is expected to be declared in the evening today, as per past trends.
The JEE Main results 2024 will be calculated based on the final answer key prepared by the subject experts after reviewing the challenges raised by the students. The examination results for each session will be prepared in the form of NTA raw scores and percentile scores of total raw scores. The JEE Main 2024 percentiles will be calculated for each candidate in the session 1 using the formula given below.
Formula - (100 x number of candidates who appeared in the session with a raw score equal to or less than the candidate) / total number of candidates who appeared in that session
The NTA informed that the scores for each of the candidates in total in BE, BTech for session 1 as well as for session 2 of JEE Main 2024 will be merged for the compilation of results and preparation of the overall merit list and JEE Main ranking. Students who have registered to apply for both sessions should note that the best of the two NTA scores will be considered.
Results of candidates who are found to have furnished wrong information or involved in Unfair means Practices will be cancelled and will not be declared.
The JEE Mains exam 2024 was held in about 544 centres in 291 cities, including 21 cities outside India. A total of 12,25,529 appeared in both paper 1 and 2. Out of the total, 11,70,036 appeared in BE, BTech paper and 55,493 appeared for the BArch, BPlanning paper.
A total of 4,06,920 female students, 8,24,945 male and 9 transgender students registered for the exam this year. The NTA recorded 95.8% attendance this year for BTech paper.
