NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE 2024) session 1 from January 24 to February 1. The JEE 2024 was held in two shifts on January 24, 27, 29, 30, 31 and February 1. The exam is held for admission into undergraduate programmes in national institutes of technology (NITs), Indian institutes of information technology (IIITs) and government funded technology institutions (GFTIs).

Several coaching institutes and experts published their analysis of the JEE Main session 1. Sri Chaitanya institute has also released the analysis of the JEE Main 2024 session 1. It has also released the percentile vs JEE Main score predictions for various shifts of the session 1 exams.

The institute found the following points in their analysis:

  • January 31 shift 1 exam was the toughest in session 1. Mathematics section was also the toughest among all the shifts. Physics and chemistry were of moderate difficulty with the former being comparatively easy.
  • January 30 and 31 shift 2 exam was of similar difficulty level with the maths section toughest. Physics and chemistry of moderate to hard difficulty-level.
  • January 27 shift 1 exam was the easiest in this session. All the sections were moderate in difficulty-level with maths being the hardest relatively.
  • January 27 and February 1 shift 2 were also tough. The papers in other shifts were of moderate difficulty-level.
  • Overall maths sections were the toughest followed by physics and chemistry.
