NEW DELHI: National Institutes of Technology (NITs) will conduct admissions to Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programmes in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI and ML) and Data Science Engineering based on the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) 2025 scores. Admission to NITs will be conducted through a counselling process hosted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

Last year, NIT Sikkim and NIT Kurukshetra were the only institutes offering admission to the BTech programme in AI and ML. While, Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, was the only institute that offered admission to the four-year BTech programme in Data Science and Engineering.
The Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) 2025 will be conducted in two sessions. The first session is scheduled from January 22 to 31, while the second session is tentatively set for April 1 to 8, 2025.
The JEE Main 2025 will be held for admission into National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and government-funded technology institutes (GFTIs).
The JEE Main cut-offs for open category seats in BTech AI and ML for HS and OS candidates were as follows:
