The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the JEE Mains 2026 session 2 results today, April 20 for more than 11 lakh engineering aspirants. The cut-offs for JEE Advanced 2026 have increased for all categories this year, making the competition tougher than the previous years, according to the data released by the NTA. The JEE Mains 2026 cut-offs for appearing in JEE Advanced 2026 for general category is 93.4123549, whereas it was 93.1023262 in 2025, and 93.2362181 in 2024.

The JEE Mains 2026 cut-offs have increased over a period of three years. The JEE Advanced 2026 cut-offs for Other Backward Classes - Non Creamy Layer (OBC- NCL), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Economically Weaker Section (EWS) have increase, while it has decreased for the Persons with Disability (PwD) category candidates.

Aiming for BTech admission at IITs?

The NTA announced the JEE Mains 2026 session 2 results, which was held from April 2 to 8 across multiple exam centres nationwide.

The top 2.5 lakh candidates from JEE Mains 2026 will be eligible to register for the JEE Advanced 2026, which is the gateway for admission to BTech programmes at various Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).

Those who have qualified the JEE Mains 2026 are also eligible to appear for the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) for admissions to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other government-funded technical institutions.

Candidates who have qualified the JEE Mains 2026 session 2 will be able to apply for the JEE Advanced through the official website at jeeadv.ac.in. The registrations for the JoSAA counselling 2026 will begin after IIT Roorkee will declare the JEE Advanced 2026 results.
