NTA will activate the JEE Main 2026 registration link likely this month on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The testing agency will soon announce the JEE Main 2026 registration and exam dates on the official website.
Notably, NTA has advised aspirants to update their Aadhaar, UDID card, and category certificate details before the registration begins to avoid any delay or rejection in the application.
JEE Main 2026 exam will be held in two sessions, 1 and 2. The session 1 exam will be conducted in January 2026, and the session 2 exam in April 2026.
Candidates seeking admission to Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Technology (BTech) admission in top engineering colleges in India have to fill in the JEE Main 2026 application form to appear for the engineering entrance exam .

JEE Main 2026 eligibility criteria
The JEE Mains 2026 eligibility criteria for the engineering entrance exam are as follows.
- Students who have passed Class 12 in 2024 or 2025, appearing in 2026, are eligible to apply.
- Candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in Class 12, along with any subject from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational subject.
- No minimum marks are required for appearing in JEE Mains 2026.
- No age limit for appearing in JEE Mains 2026.
