NEW DELHI: The Union Minister of Education Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has announced the postponement of JEE Main May 2021 due to the increasing number of COVID19 cases. The registration and exam dates of JEE Main 2021 May and April sessions to be updated soon at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

JEE Main 2021 May exam is scheduled to be held on May 24, 25, 26 and 27, 2021 which is now postponed till further notice. Previously, NTA delayed the JEE Main May 2021 registration which was supposed to begin on May 3.

Earlier, the authorities had announced JEE Main 2021 April postponed due to increasing cases of COVID-19 infection. With the rapid spike of infection and deaths under the second wave, the decision for JEE Main May 2021 postponed has been considered.
NTA was supposed to release JEE Mains 2021 registration form for May session on May 3 as per dates released earlier. The JEE Main May application dates were announced in advance in order to avoid any clash with class 12 board exams . However, the various boards have already postponed the class 12 exams due to the pandemic situation.
NTA had successfully conducted the JEE Main 2021 February and March sessions. A total of 620978 candidates appeared for JEE Mains Feb 2021 and 556248 candidates for March session respectively. JEE Main 2021 registration statistics for the April session have not been released yet.
