NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 result for session 1 BE, BTech paper 1 today. Candidates can download the JEE Mains result 2023 at official website- jeemain.nta.nic.in or ntaresults.nic.in. NTA has released its official data for the JEE Main 2023 paper-1 for BE, BTech.

Along with the JEE result 2023, the NTA has also released the final answer key for BE, BTech.

Candidates will need their application number and date of birth or password to check and download the JEE Mains result 2023. Candidates will be able to check their NTA score and percentile secured. Further, NTA has announced the JEE Main 2023 over-all toppers list along with the category-wise topper list. A total of 20 candidates received a 100 NTA score in the session-1 paper-1 of JEE Main 2023.
This year, over 9 lakh applicants registered for the JEE Main session 1. Of which 8.6 lakh registered for paper 1 BE, BTech and 0.46 lakh for paper 2 BArch and BPlanning. Now that the JEE Main final answer key 2023 for paper 1 is out, the NTA is expected to release the JEE Main paper 2 answer key and results at jeemain.nta.nic.in 2023 soon.
The top 2,50,000 qualifiers of JEE Main will be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2023 exam. Based on the result candidates can get admission into various NITs, GFTIs and other JEE Main participating institutes.
NTA conducted the JEE Main exam 2023 on January 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31 and February 1, 2023 at various exam centres across the country.

Aspirants should be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in BE, BTech paper of JEE Main 2023. "The percentages of various categories of candidates to be shortlisted are: 10% for GEN-EWS, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and the remaining 40.5% is OPEN for all," says the JEE Advanced official website.
The JEE Main 2023 exam date for session 2 is April 6, 7, 8, 9 10, 11 and 12, 2023. The JEE Main April 2023 application form date is from February 7 to March 7, 2023 (up to 9 PM).
The JEE Main second session registration will begin on February 7. The JEE Main session 2 registration last date is March 7.

"The result will be compiled based on the final answer key declared. No grievance with regard to answer key(s) after the declaration of result/NTA Score of JEE (Main) - 2023 will be entertained. The NTA score of about 50 candidates have been withheld as they are under scrutiny. "The cases of these candidates are being placed before a Committee separately. Their NTA Scores will be declared once the Committee finalizes its report," said NTA in an official notice.

The institute is yet to declare the 2023 cut-off. As per previous year cut-offs, the candidates are required 296-210 JEE Main score for the BTech course.
The previous year cut-off at VIT Pune was 70,348 in the first round, 81,731 in the second and 59,346 in the third round.

"The NTA Scores for Paper 2A (BArch) and 2B (BPlanning) will be issued in next few days," said an official NTA statement.
"NTA score is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained," said NTA in a press statement.
The NTA scores are normalized scores across multi-session papers and are based on the relative performance of all those who appeared for the examination in one session. The marks obtained in the exam are then converted into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees.

The difference between percentage and percentile is that percentage represents the ratio expressed in terms of 100 and it tells an individual score. While percentile is relative to the score that others made and it tells the score or rank as compared to the others.
Candidates are required to get around 70-75 marks in the JEE Main 2023 to qualify for JEE Advanced 2023.

Candidates must have a score of a minimum of 75 percent marks in tier class 12th board exams. For reserved categories, the minimum score is 65 percent.

If more than one option is found to be correct then +4 marks will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct option.
The candidates were given an opportunity to challenge the JEE Main provisional answer key 2023 till 5 PM on February 4, 2023. After challenges were proven right, the NTA released the JEE Main final answer key aling with the result around midnight of February 6, 2023.

The JEE Main cut-off 2023 for admissions into GFTIs has not been released yet. NTA will release a common qualifying cutoff after which JoSAA will release institute-wise cutoff marks for admissions.

Note: The Percentile of the Total shall NOT be an aggregate or average of the Percentile of the individual subject. The percentile score is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained.

The NTA will start the JEE Main 2023 session 2 registration process tomorrow, February 7. Aspirants who wish to appear in the JEE Main April session and those who could not appear in the first attempt can complete the JEE Main 2023 registration through the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The JEE Mains result will be published on the designated official website for JEE Mains 2023 -- jeemain.nta.nic.in. Along with this the NTA JEE Mains result 2023 link will also be activated on the NTA official webiste-- nta.ac.in.
The JEE Main result 2023 of the candidate who indulges in unfair means practices will be cancelled and will not be declared.

Calculating JEE Main Percentage: (100 x Marks obtained by candidate) / Total marks
Calculating JEE Main Percentile 2023: (100 x Number of candidates in the session with aggregate marks less than that obtained by the candidate) / Total number of candidates appeared in that session.
The JEE Main 2023 percentile would be calculated for each candidate in the session as follows.
If a candidate scores between 120-131 marks out of 300, they are likely to secure JEE Main rank between 43174-33636 and a JEE Mains percentile score of 96.0687115-96.93721175.

The NTA will not accept any request of re-evaluation or re-checking of JEE Main result 2023. The NTA scores obtained by candidates in the result of JEE Main 2023 will be considered final.

The JEE Main 2023 percentile score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored equal to or below to particular percentile in the exam. Therefore the topper (highest score) of each session will get the same percentile of 100 which is desirable. The NTA this year gives two attempts for aspirants. A candidate need not appear in both sessions. However, if a candidate appears in more than one session then his/her best of the JEE Main 2023 NTA scores will be considered for preparation of the Merit List/ Ranking.

The NTA converts the raw score in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and the conversion of the total into NTA scores. Overall merit will be prepared by merging NTA scores of all shifts of all days.

The NTA will begin the JEE Main 2023 session 2 registration on February 7 and concluded application process on March 7 (up to 9 PM).

The NTA is expected to declare the JEE Main result 2023 today or tomorrow at the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. Students will be able to download the JEE Mains result before the session 2 registration begins.
This year, over 9 lakh applicants registered for the JEE Main session 1. Of which 8.6 lakh registered for paper 1 BE, BTech and 0.46 lakh for paper 2 BArch and BPlanning.

The jeemain.nta.nic.in website is hosting the JEE Main answer key for Paper 1 BE, BTech paper and Paper 2 BPlanning and BArch papers for all shifts conducted between January 24 to February 1.

The JEE Main 2023 result expected date is February 6, as per reports. The NTA usually uploads the JEE Main answer key 2023 two-three days after the conclusion of the exam. However, this year, the JEE main answer key download link was active within a day after the JEE Main session 1 exam concluded.

The NTA will release the JEE Main final answer key 2023 along with the JEE Main result 2023 soon on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The final JEE Main answer key 2023 will be uploaded after considering all challenges raised by the candidates.

NTA will close the JEE Mains 2023 session 1 application correction window to edit state code of eligibility and category today, February 5. Eligible candidates can make necessary changes in their JEE Main application form through the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in.

NTA will prepare the JEE Mains 2023 result on the basis of the final answer key. No grievance with regard to answer key(s) after the declaration of JEE Main result or NTA score will be entertained, the NTA said.

The NTA relaxed the 75 percent criterion and announced students who have scored 75 percent marks or are in the top 20 percentile in Class 12 of any education board will be eligible to seek admission to the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and to appear for JEE Advanced 2023.
