Aspirants should be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in BE, BTech paper of JEE Main 2023. "The percentages of various categories of candidates to be shortlisted are: 10% for GEN-EWS, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and the remaining 40.5% is OPEN for all," says the JEE Advanced official website.

Abhineet Majety becomes the topper in JEE Main 2023 exams with a perfect 100 percentile. 

"The result will be compiled based on the final answer key declared. No grievance with regard to answer key(s) after the declaration of result/NTA Score of JEE (Main) - 2023 will be entertained. The NTA score of about 50 candidates have been withheld as they are under scrutiny. "The cases of these candidates are being placed before a Committee separately. Their NTA Scores will be declared once the Committee finalizes its report," said NTA in an official notice.

"The NTA Scores for Paper 2A (BArch) and 2B (BPlanning) will be issued in next few days," said an official NTA statement.

• A control room was opened in the NTA premises where virtual observers were deployed for live CCTV coverage of all JEE exam centres in India.
•  Live CCTV Surveillance was done to curb malpractices in the examinations. 
• The NTA has also made arrangements for live viewing at remote location and recording CCTVs Systems of all examination centers at Control Room situated in the NTA. 
• A total of approximately 35,000 cameras per shift were installed. 
• In order to stop cheating using mobile networks, Jammers were installed in all the centers to prevent unfair practice by the candidates during the examination through mobile or any other electronic device. 
• A total of nearly 29,000 jammers per shift in all shifts were put in place.

"NTA score is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained," said NTA in a press statement.

The NTA scores are normalized scores across multi-session papers and are based on the relative performance of all those who appeared for the examination in one session. The marks obtained in the exam are then converted into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees.

If more than one option is found to be correct then +4 marks will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct option.

Tie breaker guidelines: These guidelines come into effect when two or more candidates obtain equal percentile scores. The inter-se-merit- is determined in the order given as follows-

• Candidates obtaining higher Percentile Scores in Mathematics will be ranked higher.
• Candidates obtaining higher Percentile Scores in Physics will be given the higher JEE Main rank 2022.
• Candidates obtaining a higher Percentile Score in Chemistry will get a higher rank.
• Candidates older in age will be given preference.

• Go to the candidate login window and fill in the details needed for the JEE Main application form 2023.

• A new page will open with, 'Find Application Number.'
• Fill in the details such as Candidate Name, Father Name, Mother Name, Birth Date, Security Pin.

The JEE Main cut-off 2023 for admissions into GFTIs has not been released yet. NTA will release a common qualifying cutoff after which JoSAA will  release institute-wise cutoff marks for admissions. 

JEE Main 2023 expected cut-offs: 75% for candidates belonging to General and OBC-NCL. 65%  to SC, ST, and PwD candidates. The qualifying cutoff varies each year. In 2022, JEE Main cut off for general category was 88.4121383 and for the OBC-NCL category, it was 67.0090297.

NTA will release the JEE Main 2023 toppers list on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The list of toppers of JEE Mains 2023 will be announced separately for every session.

The NTA declared the JEE Mains result 2023 around February 6 midnight at ntaresults.nic.in result 2023.

Students scoring 41-61 marks will get a 70 to 84 percentile in the NTA JEE Main 2023 session 1 exam.

Candidates will be able to check the expected JEE Main 2023 marks vs percentile and use JEE Main college predictor to get information on colleges based on marks secured in the session 1 paper.

The NTA score is based on the relative performance of all candidates who appeared for the examination in session 1. The marks obtained are converted into a scale ranging from 100 to 0.

JEE Main 2023 admit card for the April session will be issued in the last week of March. 

The NTA had activated the JEE Main 2023 result link first on the ntaresults nic in result 2023 website. Students have been also provided with two links to download the JEE Mains scorecard at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Students will be able to download the JEE Mains paper 1 final answer key for BE, BTech from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in by clicking on the link on the homepage.

Candidate who have secured 96 percentile in JEE Main 2023 will have a NTA score between 120-131 marks.

Students with NTA score between 41-61 marks will get a percentile between 70.26839007-84.22540213.

Students who score 1 to 40 marks in JEE Main 2023 exam will get a percentile score between 6.66590786-69.5797271.

The number of students who applied for the JEE Main 2023 January session was 9 lakh. Of which 8.6 lakh registered for paper 1 and 0.46 lakh for paper 2. Out of the total, 8.22 lakh appeared in the session 1 exam recording an all-time high attendance of 95.79%.

Those who appeared in JEE Main 2023 session 1 exam held between January 24 and February 1 will have to enter the following details in the JEE Main result login window to download the paper 1 BE, BTech results.

• Security pin

The NTA will begin the JEE Mains session 2 registration today at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Interested students will be able to submit the JEE Main 2023 application form by March 7, 2023.

The percentile score of a candidate is calculated as :

100 X Number of candidates appeared in the 'Session 1' with a raw score equal to or less than the candidate/ Total number of the candidates appeared in the 'Session 1'.

The JEE Main 2023 session 1 paper 2 result is yet to be declared by NTA. Once the paper 2 result is out, it will be available for download at jeemain.nta.nic.in. 

The NTA scores are based on the relative performance of all candidates who appeared for the JEE Mains 2023 session 1. The marks obtained are converted into a scale ranging from 100 to 0.

The NTA converts the raw score in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and the conversion of the total into NTA scores. Overall merit is prepared by merging NTA scores of all shifts of all days.

NTA has dropped five questions in the JEE Main final answer key.

The JEE Main result 2023 of the candidates who indulged in unfair means practices during the exam will be cancelled and will not be declared.

For this year there are two attempts for JEE Main 2023. Candidates are not required to appear in both sessions. However, if a candidate appears in more than one session then his or her best scores will be considered for ranking.

After JEE Main session 1 result 2023 is out, candidates can choose to appear for the second session. After that, all India ranks will be released. After JEE Advanced result is out, the admission process for IITs, IIITs, NITs and other GFTIs will begin.

If the JEE Main 2023 January session exam did not go well candidates can appear in the second session. The best score out of these two sessions will be considered for the ranking.

The tie between candidates obtaining equal total NTA scores in JEE Main 2023 paper 1 BE/BTech will be resolved in the following manner in descending order:

The NTA JEE Main 2023 percentage is the result of absolute marking while the percentile is calculated through relative marking.

The NTA will not accept any request of re-evaluation or re-checking of JEE Main result 2023. The NTA scores obtained by candidates in the result of JEE Main 2023 will be considered final.

The JEE Main 2023 exam result for each session will be prepared in the form of

• Percentile score for each subject separately, mathematics, physics, chemistry
• And the total NTA score

The JEE Main 2023 percentile score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored equal to or below to particular percentile in the exam. Therefore the topper (highest score) of each session will get the same percentile of 100 which is desirable. The marks obtained in between the highest and lowest scores are also converted to appropriate percentiles, the NTA said.

Candidates who appeared in JEE Main 2023 session 1 exams held on January 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31 and February 1 will be able to download their JEE Main scorecard from jeemain.nta.nic.in 2023. They will have to enter their registration number, date of birth and security pin to check JEE Mains result 2023.

Candidates who appeared for the JEE Mains examination session 1 can access and download the answer key on NTA's official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The JEE Main session 2 registrations will be held from February 7, 2023 till March 7, 2023.

NTA closed the JEE Main 2023 application correction window to edit state code of eligibility and category at 5 PM today. 

The top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in BE/BTech paper of JEE Main 2023 will be eligible for JEE Advance exam.

The NTA scores for each of the candidates in total in BE, BTech for JEE Main 2023 session 1 as well as for session 2 will be merged for compilation of JEE Mains results and preparation of the overall merit list, ranking. 

The best of the two NTA scores will be considered for further processing for those candidates who appeared in both sessions.

The last date for JEE Main session 2 registration is March 7, 2023. Candidates will be able to fill JEE Main April session application form from February 7 at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The NTA will soon announce the JEE Main 2023 result date. The testing agency will prepare the JEE Mains result on the basis of final answer key.

The NTA has devised a tie-breaking rule if two or more candidates get the same NTA score in JEE Main 2023.

The normalized JEE Main 2023 scores will be released by NTA to indicate the percentage of candidates whose scores are equal or below the scores of the candidate who scored the highest in that particular session. The formula used for calculation NTA scores is shown below:

The NTA this year gives two attempts for aspirants. A candidate need not appear in both sessions. However, if a candidate appears in more than one session then his/her best of the JEE Main 2023 NTA scores will be considered for preparation of the Merit List/ Ranking.

The NTA converts the raw score in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and the conversion of the total into NTA scores. Overall merit will be prepared by merging NTA scores of all shifts of all days.

The NTA will begin the JEE Main 2023 session 2 registration on February 7 and concluded application process on March 7 (up to 9 PM). 

Tie between candidates obtaining equal total NTA scores in JEE Main 2023 paper 1 BE and BTech will be resolved in the following manner in descending order:

The NTA is expected to declare the JEE Main result 2023 today or tomorrow at the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. Students will be able to download the JEE Mains result before the session 2 registration begins.

This year, over 9 lakh applicants registered for the JEE Main session 1. Of which 8.6 lakh registered for paper 1 BE, BTech and 0.46 lakh for paper 2 BArch and BPlanning.

NTA has not yet announced any specific date to declare the NTA JEE Mains result. Once the JEE result 2023 out, candidates will be able to check it through the official website-- jeemain.nta.nic.in.
