JEE Mains 2026: NIT Surathkal BTech CSE cut-off trends; 2800 rank for open seats

The HS Scheduled Caste - Persons with Disability (SC PwD) gender-neutral seats saw the highest closing rank at NIT Karnataka Surathkal at rank 6 during the JoSAA final round counselling 2025.
The National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NIT Surathkal) recorded tight closing ranks across categories for its Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) programme in the final round of the JoSAA Counselling last year. One of the top-ranked engineering institutes on NIRF rankings, closed its Home State (HS) Open gender-neutral seat at 2800 rank, while the Other State (OS) Open gender-neutral seat closed at 1827 rank. The HS Scheduled Caste - Persons with Disability (SC PwD) gender-neutral seats saw the highest closing rank at NIT Karnataka Surathkal at rank 6 during the JoSAA final round counselling 2025.
The NIT Karnataka Surathkal offers 11 BTech programmes across engineering branches. The BTech programmes related to computer science engineering, including, artificial intelligence and data science are the hardest to get into. Admission is based on the JEE Mains result.
Candidates aiming for admission to NITK Surathkal’s computer science and engineering programme, and other courses, will be admitted on the basis of their JEE Mains 2026 scores.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the Joint Entrance Examination Mains 2026 session 1 result for more than 13 lakh candidates by February 12. As per media reports, the National Testing Agency is expected to publish the JEE Mains 2026 session 1 final answer key by tonight on its official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
