The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has announced the Jharkhand National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) counselling schedule 2026 for admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) courses.

As per the Jharkhand NEET UG counselling 2026 schedule, JCECEB invites online applications for preparing the state merit list based NEET UG 2026 scores for admission. Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the board's official website from August 7 to 11 (up to 3 pm). The Jharkhand NEET UG merit list 2026 will be published on August 12, followed by the first round of online counselling from August 13.
According to the official notification, the Jharkhand NEET UG counselling will be conducted for admission to state quota seats in government and private medical colleges and institutes in Jharkhand. Candidates must have qualified NEET UG 2026 and fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria, including age, educational qualifications and domicile requirements.

Candidates must be Indian citizens and local or permanent residents of Jharkhand and 17 years old by December 31, 2026, have passed physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology and English, and secured at least 50% marks (General/EWS) or 40% marks (SC, ST, BC-I, BC-II and PwBD) in physics, chemistry and biology/biotechnology, as per National Medical Commission (NMC) and Dental Council of India (DCI) norms and regulations.
The reservation benefits will be provided as per the state government's policy, and candidates claiming reservation must possess valid certificates in the prescribed format issued by the competent authority before submitting the application.
As per the notification, the counselling process will be conducted in four stages. The round 1 counselling process will commence from August 12 onwards. Check complete dates below.

The application fee is Rs 500 for General, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), BC-I and BC-II candidates, while SC, ST, female candidates of all categories and Divyang candidates will have to pay Rs 250. The counselling fees are given below

Candidates participating in Jharkhand NEET UG counselling 2026 will also have to deposit a refundable security amount. The security deposit is Rs 20,000 for general and EWS candidates and Rs 10,000 for SC, ST, OBC and PwD candidates opting for government colleges.
For the deposit amount for deemed and private medical colleges, candidates will have to pay Rs 2 lakh for medical colleges and Rs 1 lakh for dental colleges. The board said the security money will be refunded within three months after the completion of the last round of counselling, subject to the prescribed conditions.
