The government has determined school timings as 6am to 12 noon for Classes 1 to 12 whereas upto 11 for nursery and pre-primary classes.

NEW DELHI: The Jharkhand government has changed school timings for pre-primary, primary, classes 1 to 12 in all government and private schools in almost all districts due to heatwave. The government has kept school timings as 6am to 12 noon for Classes 1 to 12 whereas timings for nursery and pre-primary classes are upto 11am.
“In the light of the decision of the state government and the summer situation in Dhanbad district, the timings of 6 am to 12 noon for classes 1 to 12 in all government and private schools and up to 11 am for nursery and all pre-primary classes were determined,” tweeted Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dhanbad.

Recently, the Bihar government also changed the school timings in certain districts due to the increasing temperature and heatwaves in the state. According to the new schedule, students are required to attend offline classes in the districts of Patna, Gaya, Rohtas, Samastipur, Jamui, Kaimur, Sitamarhi, Purnia, Sheikhpura, Bhojpur, and West Champaran during the morning hours.
Till now, the Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana governments have changed their school timings due to heat waves in their respective states.
