NEW DELHI, June 2: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry will conduct the MBBS entrance exam today. The exam is a computer-based test which will be carried out in two shifts ie., morning (10:00 AM to 12:30 PM) and afternoon (3:00 PM to 6:00 PM). Qualifying the entrance exam will open the door for admission to 200 MBBS seats offered in Puducherry and Karaikal campus of JIPMER. As many as 2 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the exam this year.

Carry the right documents

At the exam center, it is imortant that the candidates do not carry any document except those prescribed by the exam conducting authority. Admit card, a valid and original photo ID proof (Aadhaar card or e-Aadhaar/Passport) and a photocopy of the ID proof is essential to carry. Candidates can also carry any other government approved photo ID proof along with the admit card.

JIPMER Result

The result of the exam is scheduled to be announced on or before June 21. The result will be issued in online mode in the form of merit list and individual scorecards. There will be a total of 12 merit list released by the regulatory body among which 11 will be the category-wise merit list and an overall merit list. The overall merit list will include all the candidates who have appeared for the entrance exam.
