Try NowNEW DELHI; June 2: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry has been successfully coshunducted the JIPMER MBBS entrance exam in two shifts - morning and afternoon. Over 1.84 lakh candidates had appeared in both shifts. The MBBS exam was conducted for 200 seats offered by Puducherry and Karaikal campuses. The undergraduate entrance examination contained 200 multiple choice questions (MCQs) from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Language & Comprehension and Logical & Quantitative Reasoning.
As mentioned above, the JIPMER exam has been conducted in morning shift from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, while afternoon shift was held from 02:00 PM to 05:30 PM. As per the reports, students found JIPMER MBBS exam moderate. Few candidates thought that the Biology and Physics section was moderate; while the Chemistry section was the tougher one.
The experts think that the JIPMER exam was moderate and all the questions were asked from NCERT books. As like students, experts also think that Physics and Biology was from easier and moderate, while Chemistry was bit tough.
What after JIPMER MBBS 2019?
JIPMER, Puducherry does not release any official answer key. However, the leading coaching institutes might release the answer key of exam. JIPMER MBBS answer key which might be released will be on the basis of memory of candidates. It must be noted that only candidates securing the minimum qualifying percentile will be considered qualified in the entrance examination. The cutoff percentile to be secured to qualify JIPMER MBBS exam is 50the for general/EWS/NRI students. While only 45th and 40th percentile must be secured by UR-PH and SC/ST/OBC aspirants, respectively.
After the completion of entrance examination, the examination authority will declare the result by June 21, 2019, in the form of merit list. The category-wise result will be released. The merit list will display name of candidates, total percentile, subject-wise and total marks obtained, JIPMER All India Rank and counselling details.
