The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has announced that a stray round counselling will be conducted in physical mode to fill vacant seats in MBBS, BDS, Diploma in Dental Mechanics (DDM) and Diploma in Dental Hygiene DDH courses for the 2025 academic year.
The J-K NEET UG stray round counselling 2025 aims to fill vacant seats, including those left unfilled during previous rounds and seats surrendered by colleges.
The physical counselling will be held on December 22 at the J-K BOPEE offices in Jammu and Srinagar. Eligible candidates are required to report between 10 am and 11 am for attendance and registration.
The counselling will cover candidates with NEET UG 2025 ranks from 1 to 5869.
All registered and eligible NEET UG candidates, including those from reserved categories, are eligible to participate, subject to the prescribed conditions.
Candidates participating in the counselling must carry all original documents, including domicile certificates and qualifying mark sheets, for verification.
Those appearing for counselling for the first time will be required to pay a counselling fee of Rs 1,500 through POS machines available at the BOPEE offices. Candidates who have already paid the counselling fee in earlier rounds will not be required to pay again.
JKBOPEE has also allowed candidates unable to attend the counselling in person to authorise a close blood relative to represent them, provided the prescribed authorisation format and identity documents are submitted.
The tentative seat matrix for the stray round will be uploaded on the official website one day before the counselling.
Candidates who have already joined allotted MBBS or BDS seats in previous rounds are not eligible to participate, while those who were allotted seats but did not join, or those seeking upgradation in DDM and DDH courses, may participate as per eligibility norms.
The board clarified that all other terms and conditions will remain the same as notified in earlier information brochures and counselling notices.
