NEW DELHI: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has extended the registration deadline to apply for the Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) 2025. Eligible candidates can now apply for the entrance exam till March 24 through the official website at jkbopee.gov.in.
Earlier, the last date to register for the JKCET 2025 was till today, March 19. The board started the registration process on March 5. The JK common entrance exam is conducted for admission to Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and BTech courses in various universities across the union territory (UT).
The JKBOPEE will conduct the JKCET 2025 on April 12. The board has not announced the result date yet. However, last year, it was declared on June 25.
The JKCET 2025 exam will be held in an offline mode and the duration of the test will be of 3 hours. It will be conducted only in the English language. There will be a total of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in the question paper and it will be divided into 3 sections: physics, chemistry and mathematics.
Candidates will be awarded 1 mark each for correct answer while 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong response.

Candidates can register for the JKCET 2025 by following the steps given below.
Candidates, who have attained the age of 17 years, and have a domicile of union territory of Jammu and Kashmir are eligible to apply for the written test. Those having Scheduled Tribe (ST) certificate, issued by a competent authority of UT of Ladakh are also eligible.
There is no upper age limit to apply for the JKCET 2025. Candidates also should have qualified Class 12 exam from a recognised board. While students, who are currently appearing for the Class 12 exam can also apply. Only candidates with physics, chemistry and mathematics subjects specialisation will be allowed to apply for the JKCET 2025.
