JKSSB JE Electrical, Civil 2025 exams postponed again; download admit card from October 20

JKSSB JE Recruitment Exam 2025: The JE electrical exam will now be held on October 25, and the JE civil exam on November 2, to fill 800 vacancies in electrical and civil disciplines.
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has postponed the Junior Engineer (JE) OMR-based written exam for electrical and civil posts again. As per the revised schedule, the JKSSB JE Electrical written exam will now be conducted on October 25.
Earlier, the JKSSB cancelled the Junior Engineer (Electrical) recruitment test after allegations of a paper leak surfaced. The OMR-based exam, scheduled on August 24 across 35 centres, was rescheduled from 11 am to 12 noon due to weather conditions. While the exam was completed at 34 venues, it could not be held at one centre, prompting the board to cancel the test and announce it would be conducted afresh.
The JKSSB Junior Engineer (Electrical) exam, which was later scheduled for September 21, has now been postponed. The board will issue the admit cards for the JKSSB JE Electrical exam on October 20. Candidates will be able to download the admit card through the official website at jkssb.nic.in.
“It is hereby notified for the information of all concerned candidates that the OMR based written examination for the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical), Power Development Department, advertised vide Notification No. 02 of 2025, Dated 27.02.2025, scheduled to be held on 21.09.2025, is hereby postponed and shall now be conducted on 25.10.2025,” the official notice said.
JKSSB JE Civil exam on November 2
The JKSSB Junior Engineer (Civil) examination will now be conducted on November 2. The exam was initially scheduled for August 31, later deferred to September 7, but was postponed again due to adverse weather conditions across the Union Territory.
The JKSSB JE Civil admit cards will be released on October 27. “Admit Cards for the said examination shall be hosted on the official website of the JKSSB i.e. www.jkssb.nic.in from 27.10.2025,” the official notice said.
The JKSSB recruitment process is being held to fill 292 posts of Junior Engineer (Electrical) and 508 posts of Junior Engineer (Civil) through an OMR-based written exam.
