NEW DELHI: Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has opted out of Common University Entrance Test (CUET 2023) for all undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) admission. The university will hold the JMI Entrance Examination 2023 for this year’s admission for most of the courses. However, the number of programmes offered through CUET UG 2023 is likely to increase, the official said, as per reports.

The university has no plans to implement the CUET for admission across all its UG, PG programmes and will stick to its own entrance tests to "ensure timely admissions" for the upcoming academic session 2023, the PTI reported.

Initially JMI had announced to offer 8 courses through CUET scores, later it added two more programmes. The total 10 courses offered through CUET 2023 results are - BA (Hons) Turkish Language and Literature, BA (Hons) Sanskrit, BA (Hons) French and Francophone Studies, BA (Hons) Spanish and Latin American Studies, BA (Hons) History, BA (Hons) Hindi, BA (Hons) Economics, BSc Biotechnology, BVoc (Solar Energy), and BSc (Hons) Physics.
