NEW DELHI: The admission process for Jawaharlal Nehru University will most likely start from August 1, with the entrance exam being held in the fourth week of September, 2021, a report by News18 says. The admission process would be through the JNU Entrance Exam (JNUEE) 2021.

After the registrations for JNUEE start, candidates will be able to apply through the online portal of the university. The National Testing Agency will hold the entrance test for the all undergraduate and postgraduate courses provided by the university. The online brochure for admission will be released soon on JNU's website as well as NTA's.

The university has a total of 3,016 seats including all PhD, postgraduate and undergraduate courses. According to News18, JNU will launch six new PhD programmes including ones in national security, engineering, microsystems, and system medicines from the academic session 2021-22.

From this year there will be no admission to MPhil courses as the National Education Policy 2020 has proposed scrapping the course.
