JNU extends deadline to apply for UG, COP, DOP courses to July 17; application correction from tomorrow

JNU UG Admission 2025: The first merit list for will be released on July 23. Shortlisted candidates will have to complete pre-enrolment registration and pay the fee with seat blocking from July 23 to 25.
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has extended the last date for submission of applications for admission to its undergraduate (UG) programmes for the 2025–26 academic year through the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG). Eligible candidates can now register for the JNU UG admission 2025 till July 17 through the official website at jnu.ac.in and jnuee.jnu.ac.in.
The earlier deadline to apply for the DU UG admission 2025 was July 15. The university has also extended the deadline for the Certificate of Proficiency (COP) and Diploma of Proficiency (DOP) courses till July 17. The JNU UG application correction window will remain available as scheduled earlier, from July 16 to July 17.
During the form correction process, candidates will be allowed to edit all details in their application forms except the candidate’s name, father's and mother's names, gender and date of birth. “No further correspondence in this matter will be entertained beyond 17.07.2025,” the official notice said.

JNU UG Admission 2025: First merit list on July 23
The university will release the first merit list for JNU UG admissions 2025 on July 23. Candidates shortlisted in the first list will be required to complete the pre-enrolment registration and pay the admission fee along with blocking of seats between July 23 and July 25.
Candidates accepting the admission offer through the pre-enrolment portal will have to pay Rs 313 for UG programmes and Rs 264 for COP courses. The payment is to be made online at the time of completing the pre-enrolment process.
The physical verification of admission and registration for candidates selected in the first merit list will be conducted on July 30, July 31 and August 1, 2025, for undergraduate programmes. For Certificate of Proficiency (COP) courses, the verification process will take place on August 4, 2025.
