JNU gives 70% weightage to CAT score for MBA admission 2025; registration ends on March 31

NEW DELHI: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has opened the admission process for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship (ABVSME) for the academic year 2025-27. The JNU MBA admission 2025 registration deadline is March 31.

The JNU MBA admission 2025 form can be filled by visiting the official website, jnuee.jnu.ac.in. Candidates will be required to first register and then log in using the credentials to fill the JNU MBA application form 2025.

The JNU MBA admission 2025 registration fee is Rs 2, 000 is applicable for General, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates, while Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Person with Disabilities (PwD) applicants are required to pay Rs 1,000. Applicants are required to upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, graduation mark sheets, and CAT 2024 or GMAT (for foreign applicants) scores.

JNU MBA Admission 2025: Eligibility criteria

The eligibility criteria for JNU MBA admission are as follows

  • Candidates are required to hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution, with a minimum of three years of education after Class 12.
  • General, OBC, and EWS candidates need at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree.
  • SC, ST, and PWD candidates require a minimum of 45% in bachelor’s degree.
  • Final-year undergraduate students may also apply, provided they submit proof of eligibility within the university’s stipulated timeframe.
  • Foreign candidates are required to have a valid GMAT score of at least 500 and a bachelor's degree to qualify for admission.
  • Indian candidates are required to have qualified CAT 2024.

JNU MBA Admission: Selection criteria

JNU MBA admissions 2025 will be based on candidates' CAT 2024 scores (70% weightage), Group Discussion (10%), and Personal Interview (20%). Candidates are required to provide their CAT registration number and scores during application. The JNU will shortlist applicants for GD and PI based on CAT merit, with a ratio of at least seven applicants per seat.

Seat intake and fee structure

JNU follows the Government of India’s reservation policy. The MBA program at ABVSME will admit a maximum of 75 students. No additional deprivation points will be awarded, as applicable in some other JNU courses.

  • For Indian students, the total tuition fee for the MBA program is:
  • General category: Rs. 12 lakhs (payable in four equal installments)
  • OBC category: Rs 8 lakhs
  • SC, ST, PWD category: Rs 6 lakhs
  • Other charges apply as per university norms.
  • For foreign nationals, the tuition fee is $16,000 for two years ($4,000 per semester), payable at the beginning of each semester.
